In the spirit of reconciliation
This land is Treaty 4 Territory—the ancestral lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda and homeland of the Métis. We acknowledge the harms of the past and are committed to moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and gratitude—respecting and honouring the treaties that were made on all territories.
Economic Development Regina is advancing the Calls to Action to foster economic prosperity for all in the Greater Regina Area. We are committed to celebrating the culture, values, and language of Indigenous peoples to preserve the spirit and intent of Treaty 4.

A leader who brings others along with her, Jessica McNaughton has built a legacy rooted in mentorship and connection.

Regina is Canada’s #1 city for renters.
The Globe and Mail’s 2026 ranking highlights something we talk about often at EDR: what you earn can simply go further here.
For Adam McGrath, moving from the Ottawa area to Regina meant lower rent, a 10-minute commute, and the ability to start thinking seriously about buying his first home.
But it’s the lifestyle he’s found alongside that affordability that really tells the story. He’s minutes from Wascana Park, closer to nature and, in his words, life is “easier, less expensive, and less stressful.”
It’s why we continue to share what Regina has to offer. Affordability can open the door, but it’s the life you can build here that makes the difference.

A place where opportunity and affordability come together, making it a little easier to build the life you want.
You can build a career or grow a business, while still having time to enjoy everything that comes with calling Regina home. With a strong economy and affordable housing, there’s a lot of opportunity to get ahead and enjoy life along the way.
Beyond the numbers, there’s a community that makes it easy to feel at home, whether you’ve been here your whole life or are just getting started.
Kinda chic, if you ask us.

I miss the days before the internet where the city couldn't do anything right but I didn't have to see cringe memes about it
kinda chic to raise taxes to subsidize business
